Susannah Davidson Pfalzer, principal of SP Editorial Services, has fourteen years of experience writing and editing for a wide range of publications. She got her start in higher-education publishing, as an editor at Simon & Schuster Custom Publishing, Allyn & Bacon, and Benjamin Cummings. She moved on to technology publishing, working as a senior editor at IDG Books Worldwide and as executive editor at Visual Studio Magazine. As a freelance editor, she then focused on project management and copy editing for Apress, development editing for Manning Publications, and writing feature articles for a startup Internet magazine. She's now a development editor for Pragmatic Bookshelf.

Susannah recently completed her first novel, and paints acrylic portraits and landscapes on commission. She lives with her husband and daughter in San Jose, California.
